Tweetsie Railroad (5 mins)

Tweetsie Railroad is a family-oriented Wild West theme park located between Boone and Blowing Rock. The centerpiece of the park is a 3-mile ride on a train pulled by one of Tweetsie Railroad's two historic narrow-gauge steam locomotives.

Middle fork Greenway (5-10 mins)

Partially completed. The Middle Fork Greenway is a six mile long, multi-use recreational trail being developed to connect Blowing Rock to Boone, providing residents and visitors of all ages safe and healthy access to the natural world while protecting the environment and strengthening our local economy. When completed, you can jump on right at Aho Rd and 321, just .5 mi from The Blowing Rock Cabin.
