FOURTH OF JULY FESTIVAL AND PARADE
Join the town of Blowing Rock for games, music, and fun! Free entertainment all day, plus the best small-town Main Street parade you’ll find anywhere. All events take place in downtown Blowing Rock, except the fireworks which will be set off from Blowing Rock Country Club.

ART IN THE PARK
Art in the Park is host to 94 fine art and craft vendors at each show. Some of the best local and regional artists and craftspeople showcase their handcrafted jewelry, pottery, fiber, glass, photography, painting and more. One Saturday a month May-Oct. See the link for dates.

AN APPALACHIAN SUMMER FESTIVAL
Presented by App State’s Office of Arts & Cultural Programs, this annual celebration of the performing and visual arts is held every July in venues across the university campus, and features an eclectic, diverse mix of music, dance, theatre, visual arts and film programming. An Appalachian Summer Festival began in 1984 as a chamber music series, and retains strong roots in classical music, combined with a variety of other programming geared to almost every artistic taste and preference.

GRANDFATHER MOUNTAIN HIGHLAND GAMES
Grandfather Mountain Highland Games is a gathering of Scottish Clans, to foster and restore interest in traditional dancing, piping, drumming, athletic achievement, music and Gaelic culture in a family friendly environment.
