Two families with kids aged 9, 12, and 13. Kids had a blast with the basement entertainment games. We loved the cabin and loved that everyone had their own rooms to spread out and enjoy. Owner was great at checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and that we had no problems. Great stay, will stay again in the future!

Went for my kids 15th birthday

We went to the blowing rock cabin for my kids 15th birthday celebration. Once I made the reservation, Tony was very helpful with giving me ideas to do while there for teenagers. Tony communicated very well day of check in and even opened the house early for us. Snow storm while there and Tony extended our check out so we didn’t have to drive in icy roads. I will recommend this house to everyone I will talk to.. Tony was very helpful during this whole process. Amazing house, kids loved the game room and adults loved the porch and view 😍

Perfect For Families

If you are looking for a family friendly cabin in the Blowing Rock area, this is the perfect set up. Our teens and preteens loved the lower level. It has games, a comfortable tv area and a cozy bunk bed room. The main level is a great hang out area for the adults with an open floor plan. Don't hesitate if you are planning a getaway - this place will go quickly1

Our family absolutely loved this cabin. It’s located about 7 mins from town but far away enough that you feel sort of secluded. Tony was an amazing host from the time we checked in until we departed he was always readily available for questions. The cabin is cozy but roomy for families or even 3 couples. The kitchen has all of the supplies you’ll need to get your getaway started. The bed was super comfortable and the room was quiet in the evenings. What I enjoyed most about the cabin was the reading nook upstairs. You can tell that the owners put a lot of thought into the area as there was a great selection of childrens books and other books to read. It’s a great area of the house to have a cup of coffee or wine in the evening. And lastly don’t leave without roasting marshmallows at the fire pit.

The cabin was super cozy and in a great location. Lots of space and basement game room was really fun. Tony is a great host that checked on us and made sure were comfortable and taken care of. We will definitely stay here again!

We highly recommend The Blowing Rock Cabin and are already looking forward to coming back for another stay! This was by far one our favorite properties we've stayed at! It was clean, spacious, fun, conveniently located to everything we needed or wanted to do and had comfortable beds! The owners were also great from beginning to end, they quickly answered any questions and were so helpful with suggestions on things to do! If you are considering booking this cabin it will be well worth it!

This property is perfect for a family with Kids. The downstairs is set up for total entertainment for the kids and they have some privacy from the adults!! Kitchen is so well equipped with everything you would need to stay in and cook. Fireplace is awesome with wood there to get you started. We will go back !

So convenient to Blowing Rock, Boone, Banner Elk, Grandfather Mountain, The Tanger Outlets and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Also went to West Jefferson. Cabin was very nice & comfortable. Owner was just a phone call away if we needed anything. Watching the sun and shadows play on the mountains out the big front picture window was a beautiful site. We had a great time! Beverly

Great Location, Cozy Cabin

Our family spent five nights at this cabin in mid-October. We make a trip to Blowing Rock every year at this time and are glad to have found the property this time.

The cabin has a great location between Boone and Blowing Rock and is easily accessible, quiet and semi-private. We were able to quickly get into both towns for takeout, but the kitchen is well equipped if you want to cook your own meals. We enjoyed the wood-burning fireplace which made for cozy evenings. All of the beds and furnishings are comfortable and the kids loved the games and large TV in the basement (11 and 6 year olds). There are lots of sleeping options to comfortably sleep 8 or more guests. Tony was very responsive and provided everything we needed for a great stay. We'll definitely be back!

We enjoyed our stay at the Blowing Rock cabin. The cabin was stocked with everything we could need plus more. It's in a great location close to the Blue Ridge parkway, Tanger outlet mall and downtown Blowing Rock.

It has all been said by previous reviewers, so I will just highlight that the location is ideal for access to both bicycling routes and hiking trails, plus good restaurant options. The cabin had all the comforts of home, and Tony is a very welcoming host. We hope to make a return visit!

Beautiful cabin! Beds were very comfy, rooms were spacious and nice furnishings throughout the home. Loved all the natural lighting that came through the many windows. Kitchen was well stocked with newer and nice utensils/plates and adorable coffee mugs! Front porch was perfect to look at the mountains and watch the sunset. We didn’t have much time to play in the gameroom downstairs but the attached bedroom and living room were beautiful down there. Above all, communication was outstanding! I had a couple questions when we arrived and Tony was more than ready to help us out with all of them! Overall, A++ for the cabin and the host! Next time we will stay longer!

Blowing Rock Cabin was absolutely perfect. The entire experience from booking to checking out was seamless. If you’re looking for a home away from home, this is the perfect spot. Secluded enough to feel like your miles from civilization, but only 1.5 miles from anything you will ever need.

My family and I enjoyed our visit as part of a longer trip through the mountains. Tony D. was very responsive and super helpful. The cabin is adorable and has all the amenities we needed. The space was perfect for our group of 3 adults, giving us our own space and places to be together. My favorite was the swing in the front porch overlooking the yard and mountains. Due to our small size, we did not utilize the basement area but it looked perfect for larger groups. We would definitely rent again.
